Inspire Awards Finalists 2017

We are incredibly proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Business and Community Award at the 2017 Inspire Business Awards.

The Business and the Community award is open to businesses that, in addition to their commercial activities go over and above in to create a positive, sustainable and societal impact as part of their corporate and social responsibility role. Criteria is also that the business promotes staff engagement and awareness of community issues and has a commitment to ongoing community or charitable activities for non commercial gain.

Whilst recognition is not the reason we do what we do it is always welcome. We are a Basingstoke company which would not exist without Basingstoke people and for that we are thankful.

Congratulations to all of the other nominees in all of the other categories, we wish you the very best of luck on the night!

New Head Office Development

After a long and (at times) painful process of due dillgence on the build design for our new offices we were delighted to commence works on the erection of the steel frame structure today!

With works being undertaken by Southampton based firm Hillcrest we are now well underway on a project which will take us up to the Christmas break erecting the impressive structure which will be home to the Champion Group for many years.

Local people will notice the structure going up around the Brighton Hill area and as you approach the site from the dual carriageway.

With over 150 tonnes of steel involved in the frame you can imaging the size and scale of the job and the impressive nature of the program of works.

Champion Riders - Bon Voyage!

On a cloudy morning 4 of our very own joined a team of 36 Basingstoke riders on a charity mission!

The Ark Riders left the Ark Conference Centre in Basingstoke destined for the Arc de Triumph in Paris on a gruelling 5 day cycle ride.

The team of (left to right) Sam Champion (Bricklayer), Paul Kent (Senior Contracts Manager), Perry Champion (Director) and Kevin Croombs (Group Accountant) are part of the Ark Riders group who are raising money for the Ark Cancer Treatment Centre in Basingstoke.

Joined by fellow business men and women from the local area they set off on what we all hope is a safe, enjoyable and ultimately successful fundraising trip for this great cause!

For more info on the charity go to The Ark Cancer Charity website where you can also donate to this amazing cause!!
